I was a bit hesitant because of the foot-hook design, but it turns out I was worrying for no reason! It actually helps support the arch of the foot, allowing for a more secure fit. I used to be in between size S and M, but after experiencing the muscle stimulation effect, I now find that S fits me comfortably.
